BETTER TOGETHER: CONNECTION
CONNECTION IN A TIME OF GLOBAL CHANGE
In April 2021, one photograph from We Are Nature I by Nikolay Vlahov was selected for the international online exhibition Connection, curated by guest curators Anna Savage, Catalina Aranguren, and Juliette McCullough, with special guest artist Hugo Wirz.
The exhibition, presented online on 12 April 2021, explored the theme of connection and invited artists from around the world to reflect on how the previous year had changed their understanding of relationships—with themselves, with nature, and with their surrounding environment.
Under the theme “Better Together,” the exhibition considered different forms of connection and how they had been experienced during a period of significant global change. Participating artists offered diverse contemporary perspectives on what connection means and how it shapes our relationship with the world around us.
The selected photograph from We Are Nature I contributed to this international artistic dialogue, connecting the series with the broader themes of nature, environment, and our relationship with the world we inhabit.
