WE ARE NATURE

WE ARE NATURE
The project explores the profound and inseparable relationship between humanity and the natural world. At the heart of this project lies a fundamental truth that we often overlook: we are not separate from nature — we are nature.
As our connection with the natural world continues to weaken, we increasingly forget our own origins and our place within the greater living system to which we belong. Through our invasive actions and relentless pursuit of control, we have created a separation between ourselves and nature, transforming what sustains us into something we perceive as an external force — something to conquer, manage, or overcome.
This project invites us to reflect on the questions that emerge from this disconnection: Have we forgotten who we are? Have we forgotten where we come from? Have we forgotten what we are a part of? Or, blinded by our own intelligence and technological achievements, have we begun to see ourselves as separate from the very source that gave us life?
WE ARE NATURE is a reminder of our essential belonging. Nature is not something outside of us; it is within us. Our bodies are nature. Every breath, every cell, and every element of our physical existence carries the same fundamental forces that shape the world around us.
Through this work, I seek to reconnect with the awareness that humanity is not above or apart from nature, but an inseparable expression of it. To rediscover our connection with nature is to rediscover ourselves.
The project is ongoing, with photographs taken across different locations where I have experienced a deep sense of connection with nature. Each location contributes to an evolving photographic project that explores the ways in which our relationship with the natural world can be experienced, revealed, and re-established.
